In Latin America the flower is one of the symbols representing the Day of the Dead celebrated annually. For example they are used as ("offerings") or ofrendas in order to decorate and appreciate the graves of deceased family in honor of their deaths. Also used as an incense, dye, for flavorings in soups and meat dishes. The Aztecs used Tagetes lucida in ritualistic ceremonies as an incense known as Yauhtli. It is used by the Huichol, combined with other relaxing herbs to improve their efficacy.
What is Mexican Tarragon good for?
Mexican Tarragon is great as a Dream Herb for lucidity and may brighten the content of dreams. It can be used for meditations and ceremony work as well.
Suggested Use: Steep 1 tsp of herb in 1 cup of hot water for 3-5 minutes. Drink during the evening or 30 minutes before bed for best results.
